The Diaper Bank is actively looking for early childhood education and child care centers to partner with us to help collect diapers that will be distributed to nearly 1,200 low-income St. Louis families each month.
We are hoping that you will consider partnering with us by placing a collection bin at your school/center that can be used to collect donations of diapers from your families. We’ve heard from many child care centers – and we know from our own experiences as parents of little ones – that families are often looking for something to do with leftover diapers they have after their children grow out of a size or are potty trained. Because the Diaper Bank happily accepts open packages of diapers, we hope that providing a place for your families to drop off those un-used diapers may be both a service to them and a benefit for us!
If you are interested, the Diaper Bank would provide you with a box you can use to collect the diapers and all the information and tools you would need to communicate with your families about this new opportunity for community service (and closet clearing relief!). When your box fills up, you would be able to give us a call and one of our volunteers will come and pick up the diapers you collected.
The St. Louis Area Diaper Bank provides nearly 30,000 diapers each month to low-income St. Louis families through partnerships with 10 local non-profit organizations. We are the only organization in Eastern Missouri that is solely focused on helping families access this most basic need for their children. As you know, when families don’t have enough diapers, the consequences for little ones can be dire.
We hope that you’ll consider helping us provide every child in St. Louis with enough diapers to keep them clean and dry, healthy and happy.
